Mrs. Joy Beverly will begin her new job in January 2021 after Board approval last night.
After an extensive interview process, Mrs. Beverly rose to the top of the field of 12 applicants and 6 finalists. She comes to George West from Calallen ISD where she served as Assistant Principal at the high school and elementary levels. She has an extensive English teaching background at the advanced high school level and has worked with high school student clubs and organizations. She is an Orange Grove and Texas A&M Kingsville graduate. She has 24 years of experience in education. She will be meeting the high school staff on January 4, but may be available for a brief visit this morning.
