George West ISD Food & Nutrition Services will provide curbside meals for enrolled
students of GWISD beginning on Thursday, August 13th . This applies to children that are
virtual learning. Meals will be provided only to students enrolled in GWISD. Parents
or guardians of enrolled students of the National School Lunch/School Breakfast
programs pay pick up meals for their students in their guardianship who are not
present.
The following guidelines have been established by TDA for the implementation of
USDA’s nationwide parent/guardian waiver as follows:
Official letter from school listing children enrolled at that campus
Student ID number/card
Students that are learning on campus will be getting a breakfast and a lunch using a grab-n-
go method. Primary and Elementary campus will grab-n-go breakfast and lunch and eat in
the classroom. Jr High and High School will be grab-n-go breakfast and lunch and will eat
in the cafeteria. Chairs will be spaced according to the social distancing regulations.
As we continue to help our George West community stay safe and healthy, George West ISD
is requesting that guest (‘s) please stay in their vehicle while picking up meals. Meals may
be picked up between the main cafeteria and the elementary campus. Same as we did
during the summer meal pick up.
Breakfast meal will include grains, fruit, juice and a choice of milk and each lunch meal will
include an entrée, vegetables, fruit and a choice of milk.
The meals are free/reduced to students that are approved for the NSLP and paid students are
paying $1 for breakfast and $2 for k-6 or $2.25 for 7-12 lunch.
Curbside pickup location: Main cafeteria only.
Parents that need to put money on child’s account must do so ONLINE. We will NOT
be taking any form of payment at either cafeteria.
