We have finalized our Plan for Reopening GWISD Schools for the 2020-2021 school year. The plan indicates that you have a choice when it comes to providing your child's education for the 2020-2021 school year. You will be receiving an email from your school asking you to reply to a survey to indicate whether you want your child to receive their education on campus or by remote online instruction. We ask that you return that response by July 31, 2020.
Rest assured, that GWISD is taking all precautions recommended by health authorities, the Texas Education Agency and Live Oak County authorities. Our teachers, staff, and administrators have begun to prepare for a rich and engaging education for your child. We trust that you will ensure that your child engages in instruction, whether on campus or remotely, so that they can stay on course for their advancement to the next grade level and eventually graduation.
We will provide a Reopening GWISD HOTLINE to provide you a resource to call on for rapid support. Please feel free to call your child's school as well if you have any questions.
