Dr. Roland Quesada

Superintendent

Dr. Quesada has served George West Independent School District as Assistant Superintendent for one and a half  years. Prior to his arrival in George West, Dr. Quesada served as Executive Director for the Corpus Christi Principals’ Association where he served for two years after retiring from the Corpus Christi Independent School District. He served CCISD for 32 years as a teacher, Assistant Principal, Principal, Leadership Coach and Executive Director for School Leadership.

While at CCISD, he participated on  a variety of district committees and advisory groups including the district planning and decision making team. He has also been active in activities sponsored by the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP) and the Texas Elementary Principals and Supervisors Association (TEPSA). He participated in TEPSA’s Academy IV, a unique professional development opportunity for principals.

Dr. Quesada earned his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science at Texas A&M University Corpus Christi in 1985 and 1988 respectively. He also earned his Doctorate of Education in Educational Leadership in 2008 from the same university.

Dr Quesada has been married for 34 years to his wife Helen and has two children, Kaitlyn and Ryan. Kaitlyn is a teacher in Northside Independent School District and Ryan is a teacher/coach in Wichita Falls Independent School District.
